Supporting Social Development

Our Aim and Mission Statement

Our aim is to provide young people and external partners the necessary support to help tackle the issues of marginalised youths between the ages of 16 and 24 living in the UK and Ghana. Our belief in incorporating education and training as key methods, whilst encouraging personal and social development, enables youth to have a voice and place within their communities and society as a whole. To help at risk young people from diverse backgrounds, create opportunities which are challenging and exciting, enabling them to learn and develop in a supportive environment. To provide preventive or recovery support they will need to move from a Not in Education, Employment, or Training (NEET) to Education, Employment or Training (EET) status.

About Us

Skills Zone International Youth Work Organisation is a London-based, non-profit youth work programme. We were founded by Charlene Clotworthy and Henewaa Twene, two youth work professionals who saw the need to offer young people who are socially excluded a voice to challenge social inequalities and improve social development. SZIYWO are aware of the need for improvement in services provided to at-risk young people and attempts to address this issue by creating opportunities to develop both their hard and soft skills, through education, training, and employment.
